Appointment Types
Regular Consults: This would last approximately 10-15 minutes and usually involves 3 or less issues to be resolved.
It does NOT include mental health issues which would require longer appointments
Long Consults: Last up to 30 minutes: for Mental health concerns or multiple concerns
Care Plan: Long Consults by default. Medicare only allows you to have one care plan in 12 months
This is for chronic conditions that have been present for at least 6 months or expected to last at least 6 months.
Workers Compensation: This is for work-related injuries. Please bring your claim number from your insurance or employer. Invoices are paid by the worker until there is a claim number available.
The same applies for Motor Vehicle accidents.
Mental Health Consults Require long consult/double appointment to enable proper management
Procedures eg. Iron infusion, Cutting out of skin lesions or lumps, in-growing toenail removal, implanon removal and or insertion, etc Private fees apply apart from the consultation fee. Please check with your GP.
Please see your Doctor for an initial consult to plan and discuss the procedure and costs before booking any procedure.
Please Note that Bulk billing does NOT apply for procedures and the appointment during which the procedure is done. This means if you are normally bulk billed for consults, once a procedure has to be undertaken, that particular consult and procedure undertaken can not be bulk billed.
Medicare rebates apply for the duration of the appointment of the procedure BUT no rebates apply for the procedure itself. The procedure costs cover the consumables used eg Local anaesthetic , sterilization of materials and instruments etc
Bulk Billing applies only to eligible persons for consults that DO NOT involve procedures.
